Why we built Zoey

Families are busier than ever. Between school pickups, soccer practice, grocery runs, and just trying to have dinner together — it's a lot to keep track of. And somehow, it all lives in someone's head (usually mom's or dad's).

We built Zoey because families deserve a better way to coordinate daily life. Not another generic task app or yet another group chat. A shared space designed specifically for the way families actually work — with parents managing, kids participating, and everyone staying in the loop.

Zoey is simple enough for a 10-year-old to use and powerful enough to replace the whiteboard, the shared calendar, and the "did you do it?" text messages. It's the family bulletin board, reimagined for your phone.

What we believe

🤝 Families first

Every feature we build starts with a simple question: does this help a family? If it doesn't, we don't build it. No social media feeds, no ads, no distractions.

Simple by default

Zoey should be usable by everyone — from grandparents to grade-schoolers. If a feature needs a tutorial, we haven't designed it well enough.

🔒 Private and respectful

Your family's data belongs to your family. We don't sell it, we don't mine it, and we don't show ads. Your household is your space.

💛 Warm, not corporate

Zoey should feel like a family app, not a productivity tool. The language is warm, the design is friendly, and every interaction feels human.

Meet the team

We're a small team of parents, engineers, and designers who got tired of managing family life across five different apps. Team bios coming soon.
